The truffle hunting tour is the perfect choice if you want to experience real Tuscan nature, have a lovely walk into the wood trying to find that is also known as the diamond of the woods. This outdoor experience will make you became a truffle expert and give you the opportunity to savor the “diamond” in many different and exquisite ways!
We will start with a lovely drive across the Tuscan countryside to reach our the truffle woods. Our expert guide will welcome you in the historic property and explain you the different processes involved in the truffle life. We will also meet the real protagonists of the hunt, trained master truffle dogs that will help us to find this exquisite and delicious delicacy.
The truffle hunt will be approx. 2 hours long. Here the chance to know how to find the high quality truffle instead of the “fake” ones. Our guide will tell you some curious truffle stories, such as the one about the largest truffle in the world. You will learn more about the characteristics of the most suitable habitat for truffle and understand the deep and symbiotic connection between trees and truffle.
At the end of the hunt you will return to the estate, where you will be served a special four-course truffle based lunch paired with great Super Tuscan wine.
We will start with a nice appetizer of pecorino cheese combined with white truffle honey, classic Tuscan ‘bruschetta’ with two different sauces: artichoke and truffle, basil pesto and truffle, cold cuts with truffle. Then, the first course: home-made tagliatelle with fresh truffle sauce. The second course is the typical supper people get to taste fresh truffle: fried eggs with fresh truffle. To finish this lovely themed lunch, you will be served a delightful truffle dessert. Water, Tuscan wine and coffee are also included.
