A real first-rate experience in Tuscany, to discover how the extra-virgin olive oil is made, celebrate with great Tuscan DOC red and white wines and taste delicious 'bruschetta', pecorino cheese, home-made jams and typical Tuscan products in a lovely striking farm.
After a panoramic drive, we'll reach Montecarlo, a tiny medieval village, famous for its red&white DOC wines. There will be a special visit to this hamlet with a majestic fortress, picturesquely sited on the top of the hill, that overlooks the countryside with a superb view.
Then, we'll enjoy the extra-virgin olive oil & wine tasting in a very exclusive olive and wine estate where, along with the modern machine, you will admire a real 18th century olives press! An expert guide will let you go deep inside the tradition of extra-virgin olive oil production. At the end of the explanation, we'll be ready for an great tasting: three glasses or Montecarlo wine combined with a delicious bruschetta with home-made extra-virgin olive oil!
At that time, to become a real “agricultural agent”, you can't miss our second farmhouse! This 6 hectares estate is set downhill, in Altopascio: you will have the most scenic view of Montecarlo village. Here we will meet the warm-hearted owner who will show us her roses scented Tuscan house. In fact the farm is famous to cultivate the most beautiful roses. There we will taste a mouth-watering “pearl” jams (some made of roses petals), their good Tuscan wine and best bruschetta with extra-virgin olive oil. The lady, as a queen bee that guides her gentle swarm, will take you through her 'secret garden' where, depending on the season, you will discover hundreds of different roses and herbs. You will learn how to distinguish different kind of roses, their name and, last but not least, how to use some aromatic herbs for cooking! This brightly-coloured experience will be followed by a tasty light-dinner: red and white home-made wines will be combined with different kind of 'bruschetta', pecorino cheese and home-made jams, olive, tomatoes, omelettes along with infusions prepared with products coming from her magic botanic garden.
Merged in the most authentic Tuscan atmosphere, this tour will be a joy for all your senses!
