Cinque Terre (from Montecatini)
What a glorious day we had! My husband and I could not be happier with the Cinque Terre with Come&See Italy! Our day started at a very easy to find meeting place and everything worked like clockwork from there...from Montecatini. Our guide Tanja pointed out many landmarks with great explanation to keep us occupied. Our first stop was Manarola. What a beautiful fishing town Manarola is, and the views are postcard perfect. We had ample time to walk the little town, take our many photos and even sit down at an outside restaurant. This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip, but I was mistaken…it was most definitely a highlight, but the rest was not a disappointment. We took a scenic boat to Monterosso, passing Corniglia and Vernazza. Of course the weather was perfect and made the landscape that more enjoyable. We had 2 ½ h in Monterosso to explore the largest city of the 5, which is enough time to even walk over to the new part of the city, which we did and I would recommend. We walked to the end of the new part and free beach to the statue of Neptune. The walk only takes about 15 minutes, but the sandy beach makes all worthwhile. When we arrive back to our meeting place, the guide took us for some wine tasting and also some wonderful pesto tasting. Yummy! Our next and final boat ride stop was to Vernazza, which I must say, it is also one of my favorites…actually, I think all are my favorite... We would do this tour again and again. This all day tour is such a wonderful excursion for this hard to get to area and the price is unbeatable. If we had more time in Tuscany, we would take all the tours with Come and See Italy has to offer. Well done and Thank you so much for one of the most memorable excursion we have taken!
