Villa Torrigiani was built in the beginning of 16th century. The villa is one of the best examples of baroque architecture in Tuscany. Its park has big ornamental pools and the original "Flora's secret garden", which becomes the decorative theme of the internal frescos. The parterre flower garden and grand ornamental ponds reflect the front of the villa, following the style of the Le Notre's projects for the palace of Versailles. The park of the villa is a wonderful place for relaxing. There are a lot of trees coming from different parts of the world like the Lilliodendrum, the Olea Fragrace and the beautiful Camelias. |
