The tour starts with a lovely drive through the Tuscan countryside to reach the small medieval village of Lari. The ancient Castle dates back to the XIV century and has an amazing panoramic view.
Inside this charming medieval atmosphere, you will have the chance to create your own coat of arms, while discovering the several functions of the castle throughout the ages. It has been a fortress, then a prison and at the end the court of the Vicar. The museum of Lari is appreciated by adults and children because as there is a special technology developed. The visitors decide what they want to focus on and how to interact with multimedia applications through multi-touch tablets, educational games, several projections and holographic figures.
In the second part of the tour you will visit a small family-run pasta factory. Here, you will learn the secrets of the preparation of the traditional Italian spaghetti.
This is a very special opportunity because this specific pasta factory passes the secrets of their recipe just to their relatives, so you feel part of the family.
After this pleasant experience, you will stop at the well-known local butcher shop. Here, you will have time for an apetizer, and to savor several locally made products. You will learn to distinguish between ham, jambon and Tuscan salami. Combined to the delicious food, you will be delighted by a special good glass of tuscan red wine. At the end of the aperitif, you will get back to your air-conditioned bus for the final drive across the tuscan hilly landscape.
