This is the perfect tour for an independent tourist who does not want to comply with the common sightseeing! As soon as you take your bike, you will be offered an interesting and detailed map with a suggested itinerary, along with a short explanation of the main important buildings and places to see. The adviced tour starts from the surrounding walls: you will enjoy Lucca's superb frame before discovering its inner sides! The first thing you will see when you decide to 'jump the gap' is Pfanner apartment house, renowned for its beautiful Italian garden. Then, you will admire San Frediano church, before being soon amazed by Anfiteatro square, which was the ancient location of the Roman amphitheater. Subsequently, it would be nice to continue the tour towards Villa Bottini, a 16th century mansion and then have a look at the council Botanic Garden. We recommend you a lunch break before jump again on your bike and cycle alongside two majestic towers: Torre Guinigi and Torre dell'Orologio (Clock Tower), not far away from the next stop – you can even choose to visit Puccini museum- Piazza S. Michele, where there is the gorgeous church in honor of St. Michael. Finally, you will reach the most important square of the town, called Piazza Napoleone, before ending your tour at Piazza S. Martino, the square where you will admire the Cathedral.
